I began swimming when I was 13 years old and immediately fell in love with the sport. I swam competitively for a private club in Hallandale Fl., called the King Tut Swim Team. With this team, I competed in swim meets as well as Open Water swims.I swam for my High School for four years and was Team Captain my Senior year. I worked for several years as a volunteer coach for the South Broward Bulldog’s Novice team in Hollywood Fl. Then worked for one summer as a beginning level swim instructor with Aventura Aquatic Club. After I graduated for high school I moved to Tallahassee and began working as a novice coach with ATAC in April 2007.

I am returning instructor with Talswim, and have experience instructing children as young as 2-years of age. I have been a competitive swimmer with ATAC for more than 8-years, and plan to continue swimming at the collegiate level. I enjoy helping swimmers improve and I have had some of my students move on to competitive swimming with ATAC. Outside of the pool, I am an Eagle Scout, and I enjoy an occasional weekend away from the pool.

I would love to help your kids in the water, whether it be learning how to swim or improving their already acquired skills. I have experience with kids since I have five nieces and a nephew. I started swimming for Area Tallahassee Aquatic Club at age 7. Since then, I have graduated from Lawton Chiles High School. While there, I qualified for the State Championship three times and was selected to the Tallahassee Democrats First Team All-Big Bend twice. This coming year I will be attending and swimming for Lindenwood University.

I have been an athlete my entire life. My experience includes promoting fitness and healthy lifestyles, competitive water skiing, and teaching swim lessons. In 1998, a group of triathlete friends and I formed the local Gulf Winds Triathlon Club. In 2001, I formulated and directed the first Red Hills Triathlon and became a USAT Certified Race Director in 2011. I retired after 30 years with the Tallahassee Police Department and became a USA Triathlon Level 1 coach, working with local triathletes. I also joined the staff at Capital City Runners as a part time Fit Specialist. I enjoy working with people of all ages and experience levels.
